About this position:

Responsible for supporting Information Security functions as assigned by the Information Security Manager.  Provide support to all areas of the Company to protect the confidentiality and integrity of customer, employee and Company information. This position works out of our headquarters in Glens Falls, New York.

Responsibilities

> Monitor tools and reports from various systems to identify security violations; report risk issues and pertinent information to Information Security Manager and other management as appropriate.

> Review activity logs to ensure compliance with change management processes.   Assist with compilations and updates to information security-related risk assessments. 

> Conduct periodic phishing tests and other assessments of employees to support overall Information Security Program

> Assist in selection of quarterly and annual information security training courses for employees. Assign courses and compile compliance reports as needed.

> Support Information Security Manager with documentation of security policies and controls approved by management and Boards of Directors.

> Respond to inquiries and comments from user departments on information security matters.

> Maintain in-depth knowledge of information security requirements and emerging developments; abide by current laws, regulations and internal policies/controls to ensure secure and efficient flow of information.

> Perform daily monitoring of blocked email and phishing email reports; investigate reports of suspected phishing attempts.

> Assist employees in analyzing external websites and email links for security concerns.

> Assist in coordination of reviews of access to internal and external applications.

Education/Certifications:

> Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred

> 4 years of experience in business, banking, forensics, or IT preferred

Skills/Knowledge:

> Strong communications skills, both written and verbal; comfortable communicating with law enforcement, co-workers, and management

> Ability to prioritize multiple tasks/projects to meet deadlines; attention to detail and follow-up a must

> Proven quality character – high integrity, ethics, and values

> Demonstrated research and analysis skills as well as ability to summarize findings in written and verbal format for varying audiences

> Initiative in seeking and participating in continuing education to expand knowledge base and stay up-to-date in areas of physical security, information security, and fraud management

Physical Demands:

> Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and walk/stand for brief periods of time.

> Must be able to repetitively use a telephone and computer mouse and keyboard.

> Ability to lift/move up to 15 lbs.

The salary range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 an hour commensurate with experience and education.

Additional compensation may be earned through the Company’s profit-sharing bonus program, subject to individual and company performance.
