Summer Communications Intern - North

Mid-May to Mid/Late August | Paid Internship | 20–40 hrs/week

DeCrescente Distributing Company (DDC) is looking for a motivated Summer Communications Intern to support social media, public relations, and internal communications—while helping promote some of the most recognized beverage brands in the nation.

If you have strong photography skills, enjoy creating content, and want hands-on experience at events throughout Saratoga, Schenectady, Warren, and surrounding counties, this internship is an excellent opportunity.

What You’ll Do

As a Communications Intern, you’ll work closely with our Communications Manager to support DDC’s storytelling across platforms and audiences.
Social Media & Content Creation

• Capture and create social media content that highlights suppliers, customers, hiring initiatives, and company culture.
• Support photography, videography, on-camera appearances, and basic graphic design based on your strengths.
• Monitor social media channels and engage with community events, partners, and brand activations.

Public Relations Support

• Draft press releases, media advisories, and pitch emails.
• Share photos and content with local media outlets.

Internal Communications

• Create engaging content for DDC’s internal Instagram account.
• Assist with companywide communications, including event signups, committee updates, and new supplier announcements.

Where You’ll Work

This intern will support events and content primarily in DDC’s northern counties, including Saratoga, Schenectady, and Warren. Expect 2–6 hours of night or weekend work each week, with availability required for at least two weekends per month. Please note, this is NOT a remote position and you will be required to report to DDC’s Mechanicville campus every workday.
