The Payroll Manager is responsible for weekly payroll processing for all employees, ensuring that all employees are paid correctly and on time. Payroll processing involves gathering all hours worked on both manual and electronic timesheets, verification of hours worked for all employees, and the regular maintenance of pay rates for all salaried, hourly, and commission employees. The Payroll Manager will also monitor employee compliance with the company’s PTO and other leave policies.

Business
- Verify data, enter and process weekly paychecks.
- Create individual commission sheets for distribution to Sales, Management, and Delivery employees.
- Monitor commission reports for each job classification and inquire/follow-up on variances and changes.
- Enter data into commission spreadsheets for appropriate Sales, Management, and Delivery employees.
- Perform quarterly review of all payroll amounts paid relative to prior periods and expectations.
- Coordinate monthly and quarterly reporting with ADP (payroll software prepared).
- Understand sales route targets and update commission percentages, as necessary.
- Report out, educate on, and increase visibility for payroll related topics.
- Communicate with the Human Resources Department to update the payroll system to reflect changes (i.e., payroll deductions, address changes, etc.), as needed.
- Respond appropriately to employee payroll issues and concerns.
- Collaborate with managers and employees on pay structure and help review discrepancies.
- Compile, sort, and distribute payroll summaries and reports.
- Process weekly and monthly journal entries.
- Run and analyze weekly and monthly reports.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in business or accounting.
- Strong ability to communicate, both in written and verbal formats.
- Ability to meet deadlines and organize work tasks to ensure timely completion of weekly payroll.
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including complex formulas), Outlook, Word, and ADP.
- Ability to work additional hours as needed.
- Must speak to supervisor to notify him/her any time prior to the beginning of work shift when calling in sick. Voice mail or e-mail messages are not acceptable replacements.
- Use and maintenance of company-issued equipment, as required.
- Work safely and follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies and procedures.
- For all on-the-job injuries or accidents, must notify Safety Officer, supervisor, and Human Resources immediately (no later than 1 hour).
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Possess visual and physical dexterity as required.
